I am convinced that the value of a player has a direct relationship with the fact that I did or did not sign him. As a LLaMa, I don't do reloads so I can't prove it, but I will swear on anything that if I buy/sign a player, he will never be worth much, but if another team get him, his value will go through the roof stante pede. How often have I sold a player for a measly fee to a team in the same division, only to see his value increase by at least 10-fold (but often more) within a week or two?

I remember a player in the very early days of the Zealot Online game that I had at Nottingham Forest who came through the youth team. He went on to play for Roma and earn 80 odd caps for England.

I got sacked before taking Tottenham to greatness. But not before getting sacked some more times.

I had a player at Jarfalla (SWE 2nd Div) that was 15 yo when promoted to reserves. After I kept him in the reserves team for two years (he abgged in around 50), I brought him up to frist squad. Scored shitload of goals, only to receive an offer from Valencia approx. 2 motnhs later. They offered about GBP 500K. Naturally we were in red and money was 15 times more, so I accepted. He left for Valencia and was isntantly worth 5M. Bloody crackers
