Scouting
Good scouts are vital to any lower league side..... signing them though can often be a problem!

As for getting scouts: use the job centre, and hope that some scout is interested in applying for a job with your side.
Also, don't get too many scouts. Most Conference N/S sides have only one or two scouts, so take that as a good example.
Next, send them out and hope that they scout players and not some local pubs with the money you give them.

That's exactly what they do mind. The number of times my scout's told me I should look at a player who's just played against us
But cr4p scouts is all part of the rich fabric that is LL

I agree with Ollie on this and am a patron of Job Centre usage. I know it pops up tons of unrealistic staff, but at least you get those, who apply. And IMHO you can always select only the realistic ones.

Using the Job Centre obviously costs you money so it is up to you whether you want to waste money on finding crap or not!

That happens only if you play with the huge DB, Ian. Somethind I don't do, because I don't want lots of Nigerians or Bosnians flooding the place I'm playing in. So I guess, it depends on your settings if using the job centre is helpful or not.
