Wow this is amazing.
I dont get on the internet all of the time, and when i do its limited. Therefore ive only just checked this thread.

Didnt want to offend anyone really, just like the easteemed teesider Phill said, a debate.

Enjoyed the church metaphor tho. I will always consider myself a lower league manager, its how my long term games always start and the way i enjoy the game the most. I'm not the conformist tho.

Joined Wrexam the other week, fans weren't outraged and i soon had them on my side even tho i was bottom of the league in Nov.

I try and create characters for my managers. This guy was a city wheeler dealer with a degree in Sports Economics and a coaching badge. (by the by, thats a real degree, ive got one and ive got the under 12s coaching badge, its shame im not a wheeler dealer!)

I thought maybe a down and out club like Wrexam might take this risk IRL. Not much chance but neither did Norwich of beatin Man Utd.

Gonna try a lower league game by you guys rules when i get home tho, will tell youis how i get on.

flaming is the LLaMas way of exorcism, practiced on non-LLaMas. A method that more often fails than it succeeds.

Weeeell, it succeeds in that it does tend to get rid of the plebs who come in and state:
"I tuk Frome 2 Prem in 3 yrz, m I da best?" - once they are told to go and do a number of anatomically challenging things, they don't tend to come back.
However, the reputation of this forum for being unfriendly doesn't excatly encourage newbies to come in.

That's the difference between guys who become LLaMas and guys who don't.

I tend to get to know a guy, regardless of his reputation, before I call him a cnut.

But hey, maybe it's just a sign of the maturity of the guys who frequent here....
