A couple of free transfers give me enough confidence to think in clutching a promotion place.
Of course, confidence from the press and the board is non-existant.
We start with a draw and a loss, and from that point on we look like Real Madrid. We stay on top all through the year with Cadiz (only unbeated team) within 5 points.
4 games to play, we were 2 ahead of Cadiz but failed to deal with the pressure. 1 draw and 3 losses let Cadiz run over our heads and claim the title.
W 29 - D 6 - LP 7 - F 78 - A 23 - PTS 93 - POS 2° 3 points short of Cadiz. PROMOTION! :eek:
Spanish Cup - Beat Español (2-0), Getafe on penalties (2-2), Cadiz (agg 4-3), Tenerife (agg 3-2). In semis we beat Atletico de Madrid (1st Div champs) 2-1 at their home, but lost 0-3 at home. Finally, Atletico de Madrid won the Spanish Cup and did the double.
Excellent year, my reputation blew to "National" and made it to the "Stars League"!
