Not being an expert by any means, I agree with Iaj on the youth promotion thing.

I got nobody in my first 2 years at Bognor but got 8 in my first season at Stockport, including one decent SC who I might sell to ManUre one day.

Loans are the same I think. Really tough to get anyone at Bognor even though other teams in the league who were worse then me (possible?) seemed to get EPL players on loan no problems :eek:

I think its your reputation in that circumstance that counts and not the clubs.

Does your financial position make a difference to youth team promotion? I've been bumping along the wage limit ever since I started - even a couple of new reserves at £50 each would take me over the limit.

Would be a major pain if some crap gray player was promoted and ate the rest of my cashflow. Or would I be asked to accept or reject his promotion?

I've never had a problem getting Loaners. and I try to get the Loaners for the whole season. Then they build a loyalty to me & my guys and do what they can to stay.

Can someone just clarify how youth promotion does work. I have recently finished season 3 in my first full game with Stalybridge. Training facilities started off as 'adequate' and I have just got promoted to League II at the end of season 3. As I have now proved myself I asked for training upgrade (the new message said improvements to youth facilities) and now they are shown as 'good'. (Mind you I can't see where they have paid for it - it hasn't hit the bank balance.) However I have never had a home grown player. Do they appear in the under 18s or in reserves. What happens and how do I enourage it?
