Damcyan - you get too many youngsters through until your facilities improve. I got none in my first couple of seasons.

numpty - 18 youngsters was, I believe, a bug rather than a record

I very seldom loan players, so can't really talk about that.

Regarding youngsters I've had decent batches in FM when my facilities were improved from good to good (

) but that was 5.0.2.

My current facilities at Sestao are only adequate, so I cannot tell you if 5.0.5 does also throw them at you like 5.0.2 did.

That means I have to rely on rejects from the big basque clubs (the less good ones) and veteran, war-scarred old players on their last season before retirement, which is quite realistic for a team like mine.

And regarding loans: Loans? What are those? I cannot loan a player even if I want to, but with my current reputation that isn't a surprise.

I'm in season 2010/11 with Harrogate and have just had 24 youth players promoted to my U-18's. Last season I had 18 promoted.

This was in the Championship and the EPL, first three seasons I had none promoted and the numbers have increased as the team's gone up through the Divisions and the years have gone on.

The very first guy promoted is still a first team regular for Harrogate, so he was a good'un.

Loans? I've come up through the Leagues pretty much relying on my keepers and top scorers being loanees, up until League 1 where our own signings and subsequent youth promotions took over and effectively negated the need for loanees.

We currently have an SC on loan from Chelski (in the EPL) and he doesn't get a start, or a sub appearance.

Icing on the regen cake? I just sold a home-grown AM/FC for £15m to ManUre.
