This is my first LLM story so hopefully it will be of interest.
After much time playing CM/FM the time has come to work my way up from the bottom and become a LLM.
I decided to manage Runcorn FC Halton in the Conference North. I dont know anything about them and I'm only managing them becuase they have a large capacity for a low league team. 12,500.
Having not had much time to assemble the squad, I threw a team together to play Rugby Utd in a pre-season friendly. We won this 5-1. Hopefully not a false dawn !
I need alot of signings to avoid a media prediction of relegation and with no money at all it will be a tough task.
Having looked through the squad I sign 14 players on a free transfer. None of them have clubs so wasnt too hard to pick them up. The only problem now is offloading excess players as I am now overbudget in terms of wages.
Coming off the back of the victory against the not so mighty Rugby, I play Queens Park at home and manage to win. One of the new strikers scores while another new striker comes on the bench to score two. I fear the league will be a different prospect altogether
Congrats at taking the helm at Runcorn. Ought to be good fun and quite the challenge.
A few friendly suggestions...we don't do stories here, we do updates. A brief synopsis of the season or twice a season at most. Further, updates are banned until three seasons have been completed (if I'm early and you've already completed three seaons and are slow to type, my apologies).
