You should also use other things to vent your anger. Printers aren't too good for that. I used to kick bottles with my naked feet when I was angry, or even to just crush them with my hands.
I actually kicked into doorpost when something in CM ****ed me. It didn't help. For about 30 seconds all I could see was black and my toes hurt like hell. But that was it.
Nowdays I rahter use a method (don't know who discovered ti first) of exercising after every defeat or a draw. This only leaves muscle aches
Punch walls or other immovable objects.
The knuckle on my middle finger has taken so much **** I have no feeling in it, as well as the little finger being permenently bruised.
OK, the printer works again, however is does have a bit of a crack on the side and the paper tray holder dosn't seem to fit anymore.
Anyway, having become quite fond of LLM i dont think i could bring myself to play any other way. So Art Vanderlay is off down to the job center to see whats on offer.
Sacked with 5 games to go and sitting 3pts out of the play-off positions. The sacking resulted from fining a player a weeks wages for a red card in the previous match. I had been a bit fine happy during the season but it was my way or the highway and the Swansea board seemed to prefer the highway. So be it.
<LI>side note, Swansea went on to loose their remaining matches and finished 11th.
So it off to the job center to see what was on offer.
I applied for all available positions from League 2 down, these being...
Barnet - Conf. National
Port Vale - League 2
Morcombe - Conf. National
St. Albans - League 2 (for those paying attention, this is the team that my ass man went to from Vanderlays time at Gainsborough. He was also recently made unemployed).
A couple of weeks pass with Vanderlay doing nothing more than try to stirr up a bit of trouble with other managers by showing interest in their jobs. Finally the call comes from Port Vale and Art Vanderlay has somewhere to rebuild his career.
09/10 English League 2. Port Vale.
After selling off some of the dead wood i was left with a bit of cash to splash around. Wage budget is back under control as i sold the 4 highest earners and promoted several teenagers from the reserves. Of the cash i had i bought a young enthusiastic striker and an experienced DMC with whom i built the team around. This season was all about consolidation and trying to build something that could win the league next season and then remain in League 1 once promotion was achieved.
The season started well with 6 staight wins and then a couple of draws. Sitting top i began to dream that promotion was possible this season. I took the gamble and sold my keeper whom Bolton had enquired about (675,000 pounds, thanks very much) and went out and bought a young keeper, a couple of defenders and three mids. The squad was taking shape and we were still sitting top at Christmas. We had a bit of a down patch in January but managed to recover in time to wrap up the championship with 2 games to go.
So its League 1 here we come.
It was a really weird season in which it all just fell into place, i just hope the boys can hold it together next season.
I've got sick of the Art Vanderlay save. I've spoken to Frank and he has selected FC Vikingit in the Finnish 1st Div. I'll report back in 3 seasons. Cheers.
