I guess thats not LLM is it?
You BEGAN in LLM so technically it is, yeh. But you have to ask yourself if it would be realistic fo ra League One team to approach a manager of a mid-table Conference North side from the other side of the country.
Yes i agree with the 'mid-table' would they approach me senario but they did approach me and i was going to get the arse from Gainsborough very soon, i could feel it coming.
As far as the 'other' side of the country, it cant be that far can it? As i think it was you who pointed out my lack of knowledge regarding the geography of England.
If it helps, out of the FA Cup and sliding down the table. So im sure it won't be long till i'm relegated.....

Rukus, you've picked the same manager's name as my Barrow chap has. Small world, eh? Well, only if you watch the same programmes.
I love it, every time i get a message....
"Vanderlay has blah, blah...", plus, when mates walk in and see Art Vanderlay on the screen they have no idea that he manages a football team. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I totally agree with the priciple you are playing the game by. My problem occurs when i get offered jobs that i have no real concept of location and/or reputation. I also got offered the MK Dons job yet i know that they are (IRL) not very liked. So where i decided to manage is greatly dependant on the SI progamme, ie; what they offer. I only took the Swansea job because i wanted a change and they had a reserves team. I dont think i have diverted from the LLM concept, i embrace it.
Fair enough Monkey, i accept that analogy but surely it is the responsiblity of the Swansea board to hire a manager whom they feel is right for the position. Not knowing the in & outs of the management structure within the lower leagues of the lower leagues cannot be a reason why i should not accept the position offred to me. I'm sure (guessing) in real life a manager has gone from the Conferenece to league 1, it's not the fault of the manager. It is the responsibility of the league 1 team to get the right man for the job.
p.s. In my case, Swansea are probably regretting the decision.
Look it is stupid to say that things like unknown manager moving to much higher level club are nto happening. Slovenian intl. most successful manager was a guy who had practicaly no coaching experiences before taking the helm of intl squad!
And he is not a lone problem. Look at that ex romanian ex barcelona midfielder. He was too selected as manager of intl squad without coaching experiences.
This things happen also in club football. I don't know if they are happenning in England though. And from game point of view, I don't give a shyte. If a certain club offers me a job, I'll hop if I want to.
