You should buy players that are older than 10 years and younger than 50. Those perform best, I noticed.
As for the tactics, the Left Sided Sweeper is pretty effective and leads to lots of goals. (for the opponent, unfortunately, but that doesn't matter).

For players try to use players with two arms and legs...heads are optional though. To score goals never play a 442. Always play a 011. That one always works
Your interpretation skills are strong, yet your senses are weak. for tactics.... hmmm, I know the tactics forum has a lot of good advice there, in fact it's a specialty of theirs. I know for a fact that the Good Players forum, has uncovered serveral diamonds in the rough. You should try looking there for players. I realise my sarcasm skills are not as strong as everyone else's but, well, you didn't seem to get the hint. So I will use small words when I say, READ THE FORUM HEADER!
