I'm not here to bicker about the spanish registration issue as is done alot on the GQ threads.

I'm happy enough to wait until the 8.0.2 patch to fix this issue.

I do need my own "fix" of Spanish lower league management with my local team - Granada CF in the Spanish Segunda B4 :thup:

Has anyone here tried a LLM game in the Spanish leagues? Have you managed to work past the registration issue without losing important squad members?

Hope that does'nt infringe on any "rules" in this thread - but I always like to know a little about the clubs I manage in LLM games - I guess I get too attached to them right?

I started my LLM game in FM2007 in Spain with CF Hospitalet, a very enjoyable 15 seasons. I started only after SI released the patch to fix the registration issue.

As this hasn't been fix yet I was put off starting again in Spain in 08, but I am sure that once fixed in a new patch it will be saved game compatible so I hope to move to Spain later in my game.

About to start my 4th season in Spain, never had problems with the registration. But, I think I'm lucky since I'm afaik the only one withour problems....

Nobby started playing with Lanzarote, until he hit the glitch, and quit.
That has been my closest experience in Spain with FM08...
Well, and I managed in Portugal, just a few miles across the border

No issues for me in Spain, touch wood. Make sure you register all your players finally on the day you get the reminder - don't know whether that's useful or superstition but it's worked so far.

That's good to hear.

My first attempt failed with Granada CF when I bought the game start of November and downloaded 8.0.1 patch.

I signed near enough a full squad of free agents and none of the registered.

Nice to hear some have worked around it though. How many seasons in are you Matt - SEGA ?

I'm just undecided if I can wait until back of Feb, or early March for the patch.

I've got the itchy need to play as Granada CF

The other side to this is that I would be absolutely gutted if I managed to work around it then hit a brick wall a couple of seasons in.

Saying that... what the heck - I'll start a new save anyway and pray that 8.0.2 is save compatible :thup:

FM patches are always save game compatible. Whether you get all the fixes is another matter.
