I'm about to set up a new LLM save in Spain, playing at a level so low they just about have grass pitches, unlike my village team's gravel one!
I just wanted to ask about setting up the game in compliance with suggested rules here.
When I'm setting up the game, is the "Load All Players From" function considered frowned upon or not?
Part of the long term fun for me is to see if I can get an international job, be it with the mighty Botswana, Mauritius, Solomon Islands, or another similar powerhouse of international football.
Obviously loading this extra information with the large DB I always use is a neccessary evil if I want to manage a "lower" nation at some point, but is the knock on effect of having more players available through scout searches a flamable offence? :thdn:

Setting Up A LLM Save - Want To Follow Guidelines Post #2
Hi Heath, as a user has already mentioned, your forum track record is none too good (the Hyde save you mention in GQ is a concern) So don't blame a few of the users here if they are slightly sarcastic towards you.
As for managing an international side that is fine as long as you play in the spirit of LLM, as outlined in the forum headers and sticky threads. The basic princaple is that you start with a club in the lowest playable league (Second Division B2 in Spain ) and go on to greater things (if you're lucky - I never have) If it means that one of the national teams offer you a job one day than that's fine.
As for finding obscure players, LLM players tend to only rely on their scouts to find new talent. Some of the hardcore ones only scout their borders, as this is more realistic at lower league clubs. If a scout finds you an obscure player then well done to him - and lucky you.
Just remember you can only update us with your progress when you have played at least three full seasons, so keep this thread open and let us know how it goes.
