I play short passing for the simple reason that it's the style most suited to the abilities of my players. I don't have it all the way to short though as I want a few longer balls in there. Direct can also be effective provided you have the right sort of players (e.g. Bolton)

I play two clicks to short, two clicks to deep defence, two clicks to attacking style at home and normal with counter attacking away. also have the centre backs on direct passing two clicks of course. I'm top with newcastle in the second season and finished 4th last year. It's all about the two click system
