hi there
now im not gona rant or say anything stupid about the delelopers or anything.
but it does make me angry when you buy a game like this and despit the constant posts and replies in here byteh people that act have bought the game si seem to do nothing.
i see no reason why si cant tell people when the patch is out, hell ive just sent a camera to 3 and they told me when it would be repaired and when it would be deliverd why cant si tell the people who are paying them when the patch is out?
why oh why is a game released that was so bugged, it is with this though in mind that i have written to trading standards about what si do and about how every year they produce a product not too diff from the last and make people pay for it when its not even finished and then make them wait another month or so till they can get their product to work.
imagin buying a plasma and getting it home only to be told it doesnt act work properly but they will hopefully have it working soon but may take a couple of months. it just wouldnt be right would it?
so as i said im not going to call people silly names ir anything so lets just do this right and as i said ive written to trading standards just to see if we should expect more and if si are allowed to keep doing this every year.
Because every time they make a change to the way the game works it can affect millions of other things, which each need to be tested. If they just made the necessary changes and didn't test then the patch may be out quicker, but with the potential for even more bugs.
Therefore they cannot predict when it will be ready until everything has been tested, then they can release it
Fixing a camera is a set process. Patching a game is rather more unpredictable.
Also, I guarantee you if they'd waited and carried on the testing (with their testing staff numbering no more than 20 at a guess - think how many millions play it once released... more possibilities etc.) for another month or so to fix more bugs, ten times as many people would moan as there are now.

BUT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TESTED BEFORE RELEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! </BLOCKQUOTE>
It was, but there are millions of players and only a few testers. More unique processes occurring, more chance of bugs being discovered. Yelling in all caps won't fix anything.

"We are working on a response to your enquiry bradateng, however we cannot say when we will get back to you. It could be tomorrow, it could be next week - WE JUST DON'T KNOW!"
It was, yet no matter how much testing you do there will always be imperfections. They have to release the game in a playable state (which they did in my opinion), then they can improve it/make amendments fixes (via patches). This year they released the beta patch to fix a larger issue, whilst they work on the main patch (which was a good idea i think).
I am not a fanboy, and i want the full patch asap, but sometimes you have to be reasonable.
It may not be realistic to give us a precise release date for the patch, as has been said if one change effects something else then it may be impossible to predict it.
BUT - there are no excuses for the complete lack of information provided. I'd go as far as branding it a disgraceful way to treat customers. They could tell us what they have found, and what they are fixing, whats been fixed and whats known thats left to do.
Right now, its the silence that is annoying me far more than the wait for the patch.
