Does the Beta patch make chairman less interfering when it comes to selling players?

This ruined my last game its all I want to know before I start another game.

You dont need the beta patch to stop (or reduce) the chairman's interference. Just alter his stats in the editor and start a new game.

Simple answer: I don't know.

Mate, do what I'm doing and wait for the final patch to be released. There's isn't any point in starting a new career only for their to be a patch released on Friday (estimation)

My Chairman sold Obafemi Martins for £25mil in January (first season) even tho he was top scorer in the league with 19 in 20. Good job I have Palacio who has scored 14 in 8. Not long before he goes tho. It P***es me off that they sell your best players then wonder why your not achieving what they want.

It's hard to know when to call this a bug I suppose. For instance, if a team is struggling a bit financially then the board might sell your top players. They'd still blame you for a poor performance because they'd argue that you weren't successful enough and didn't generate suitable revenue. If you want a real example, Luton last season sold their top players - Carlos Edwards, Rowan Vine etc. Reportedly over Mike Newell's head, he was still blamed for the poor performance and sacked.

I suppose Newcastle is a dodgy one, Mike Ashley is hardly going to rush to sell players as he has a lot of money himself. However, clubs like Spurs (who people have complained about) might well sell players for good money as they are a PLC and have to represent shareholders first and foremost. Perhaps the problem is more in valuation of certain players. Eg, Defoe valued at 5-6m in my games and the board will sell him for 10-12, given how much Bent cost Spurs this is an unlikely valuation even if he isn't starting at the moment.

I gave up with Man Utd, they sold Pique at like the last second of the transfer window for a stupid fee of 8m, leaving me with Hargreaves and some useless reserves as DM, I had to modify me entire tactics to cope with it, taking some adapting and time to set in but they and the fans started moaning because i was 8th, 6 points off top after 12 games, pathetic seeing as i was expected to "challenge" and win within 2 years which i think i was well on course to do. Top of CL group and won all my league cup games as well. Started a new save game to manage England now

I was a bit worried about this in the demo. Playing as Leicester the chairman accepted a bid of £1.3m for Kisnorbo.

When the game came out I was able to reject bids of more than that. Not had a problem since but maybe that's to do with all my players being w@nk rather than the patch.

I have found that if my chairman accepts an offer for a player I don’t want to loose I go in and offer the player a big wages hike on a new contract sometimes they stay and reject the contract from the other club
