I hate a Ronaldo too but that doesn't meen his not a very good player

Ronaldo, is a quality player in FM08. When and if I get the chance to play/buy him, he always gets my right mid role.

I think Lucio is crap IRL but in my Bayern game he is the rock of my back four. Goofus and I agree about Michael Owen but he is amazing on the game and can be picked up for under 20m. He got 29 in one season for me and is a must buy if available.

I usually always get Ever Banega and find he ends up being one of the best players in the game.

I think that the "position" of DM in FM2008 is weak, as alot of players have mentioned on the forums lately. The examples quoted are for a number of top players who "should" be getting 7 or higher ratings on a regular basis, yet don't seem to playing in a DM position. It seems that players are rated more highly for their attacking rather than their defending in the DM position.

Anyhow, as I've noticed this possible flaw in the game myself, I never play formations that use the DM position. Nearest I go is a MC with a single back-arrow.

As for Banega, he's always been superb for me as my defensive "minded" MC. He's been a box-to-box star for me. I usually have him coming on from the bench in his first season, before letting him settle in to being an "Ever" present - sorry about the pun!!
