Hi guys, am enjoying the game (even though the number of chances my guys miss is v.frustrating) and just finished my second season with Bradford.
Finished 2nd in my first season missing out on the title on goal dif getting promoted to League 1, where I have just finished my second season with 105points, I thought surely I must have won the league with that, but........
I got promoted with Leeds to the Premier League by finishing 2nd in the Championship with over 100 points, beaten by a Reading side with about 120, the only two games they lost were against me!!! Absolutely gutted!!!! I wanted the title
all the english leagues are overrated. i lost one game in the league last season and still only won the title by 1 point, despite getting 6 points from utd and chelsea. i lost by 2 points in the previous season, despite losing one of my last 15.
if you check the premier league history since arsenals unbeaten 2003-04, the gap between chelsea and man utd last season was the smallest (6 points). there is always one automatic promotion resolved in the championship before the last few games (at least) nearly every season, so the top three on 100+ points in your screenie is silly to say the least.
i've won by 20 & 25 points with madrid on fm07, but once in 8 years at arsenal in the same game.
Actually I always used to find in Spain that 2 of Madrid/Barcelona/Valencia would drop about 10 points per season and would be infuriatingly tough to gun down. So far in 08 in the Premiership its been very close every year so far, last season Arsenal won with 74, Chelsea 72, then me and Newcastle on 67. Year before that, Arsenal only managed 72. 75 the year before that. Despite the Emirates now being almost 95,000, they're most definately very catchable.
In the Football League I usually found that the leagues were very close since there was so much movement, a team good enough to get 100 points would usually have made it up or stayed up the season before. Only the top team of the Championship would usually run away with it, and thats more down to them only being relegated by a point or two and roaring back.
