Default Manager Reputation?

How long does it normally take for your reputation to swap between say "regional" and "national"?

If i am Charlton and i win the Championship will it go up to "national"? Because surely if i go up to the Premiership i will be known on a "national" scale because i am a Premiership manager?

Just wondering how it works so any advice would be appreciated.
In past games i don't think my reputation has ever changed which is why i'm asking

In 12 years, I've gone from Automatic (lowest) to Continental.
Hard to say when and why the change occurs.
I went from National to Continental because I got Spurs promoted to the Premiership. Some would say that doesn't deserve Continental status, and I would definitely agree!

Premiership status usually brings Continental reputation with it. I think this is because they assume due to EPL popularity Europe would be like to know of the manager. Not very realistic though as I doubt anyone knows who the Derby manager is in Italy just like I have no idea who the Brescia or Real Betis managers are but they are still continental in the game.

I'll add that I won the Spanish League with Sevilla, and spent a few months as Sweden manager, so obviously that didn't do any harm towards me getting the Continental rep. Must be a combination of things you do, teams you manage, etc. I'll look at it as a ladder - each time you do something good, you climb another rung towards the next reputation, and vice versa.

It depends on what you win as well. As Bayern I won both cups and the league in my first season and immediately became World Class, which I found a bit strange because Bayern are bound to have done that quite a lot and the only manager I know of theirs is Hitzfeld.

Success brings reputation.
It may be a little exaggerated in the game tbh, but it hardly spoils things.
Everybody wants to finally earn that "World Class" status.
And "Respected Boss" is a nice description to get, too.

I want to get the description "Wily Old Manager" - just like Sir Alex Feguson

my initial example might not bear any reason as i'm currently 5th with Charlton lol and not doing too well (recent result was a 0-0 with Scunthorpe)
