This isn't a moan, I really like this game, just a comment about a bizarre transfer. So I'm in my third season after successive promotions I've taken Bradford to the Championship. I look at the news items and see that Ipswich have spent 10.5 million on Frei. Ok, I think, they must be in the Prem, but nope. There they are in the Championship. Ok, they must have been relegated from the Prem. Nope, for two seasons they've finished mid table in the Championship. Ok, they must have been taken over and have a lot of money to spend. Nope, same chairman. So I look at their finanaces, which read secure but with a reasonably large loan they're paying back. They hadn't sold anybody for masses of money in the previous two years, so where the hell did they get 10 million to spend on one player and why did said player leave Premiership Wigan to join middle of the road Championship side Ipswich? Very, very bizarre.
Thats a little bit wierd. Never seen it on my games. The only reason I can think of is that the chairman is VERY ambitious, so he gave the manager more in transfers than they had. It's still totally unrealistic. Is this a one off case, or is there any other examples?
what i find strange is how portsmouth can have so much money.
they may have a rich owner but i'm sure he doesn't flash the cash about.
they spend 36mill on about 4 players in one season on my game.
With Reading I've lamented only having a couple of mil to spend for the first seasons, then following a takeover have been given £30m despite only having £12m in the bank.
You have to be carefull though because if you spend it and don't start earning money you'll often get a "The board doesn't think it's seen a good enough return on it's investment" reply when you beg for an improvement on a £0m budget the following season

Certainly and interesting one
It is definately the weirdest one. I'm happy with transfers in this game. I can understand Wigan selling as they only bought him for 6 million a year earlier but how did Ipswich get the money and why did Frei move? I'll be interested how he does in the Championship though, I know he'll score against me though. That's standard!
