Default massive transfers...

hi,
sorry if this has been posted before but just wanted to say that something is seriously wrong with the transfer system on my game.
i am using the patch.

in the first pre-season there was slight oddities, maxi rodriguez -> Arsenal £36M
luka modric -> AC Milan £27.5M
alan hutton -> Aston Villa £15.5M

plus a 4 more £20M plus transfers.

in the january transfer window all hell breaks loose though.
4 tranfers of over £40M including David Bentley (!!!)
5 more over £30M
11 more over £20M including jermaine jenas for £20M
12 more over £15M including steve finnan (18.5) steed malbranque (17.75) and pascal chimbonda (15.5)
plus dozens of transfers over 8mil

to make it more crazy, the following pre-season the top teams (and even the rubbish teams) all seem to have won euro millions:

giuseppe rossi £98M Chelsea
danny alves £80M Chelsea again
Riccardo Montolivo £76M
Michael Johnson £63M Man Utd
Stewart Downing £60M Tottenham
andres guardado £58M Juventus
Miguel Veloso £52M
Obafemi Martins £50
Aliaksandr Hleb £48.5 Zaragoza
Nicolas Anelka £37M Middlesbrough
Asamoah Gyan £34.5 Everton
John Arne Riise £32.5M Villarreal
Nigel Reo-Coker £32 Leverkusen
Ashley Young £27M Newcastle
Tom Huddlestone £26.5M Man City
Alan Smith £26.5M Reading
Giles Barnes £22M Newcastle
Stephen Ireland £15.5M Middlesbrough
Craig Gardner £13.5M Newcastle
Matt Hill £11 Newcastle
Habib Beye £10.5 Aston Villa

even more strange is that newcastle and aston villa were both relegated from the premiership.
newcastle had spent £28.5M in that season and sold £16M (£12M for James Milner)
the second season they bought £101M and sold £170M

aston villa have bought £52M before their first Championship season and sold £78M
they spent £23.5M on curtis davies.

obviously that is more than enough stuff to prove my point but i was writing this as i found out for the first time.

anyone know why? is it a bug in the new patch? or are all games like this?

who the hell would pay 20m for JENAS?
and finnan's a piece of junk!!!
but anyway, its a known problem, english clubs are just too rich and-what's that? oh in the game? um yea its a bug.

the transfer system is very stupid in this game, i refuse to but premier league players. micah richards goes to chelsea for £40.5M, so i bought sergio ramos for his release clause fee of £27.5, and i probably overpaid as the spanish release clause is only for domestic transfers. i got lucky with £12M for van der vaart and £21M serio aguero part excahnge with armand traore, but i'm in my third season january window with £50M+ to spend, but i can't be bothered with it after 19th placed liverpool rejected £33M for a £12M rated midfielder. it is gerrard, but he wants to come to the emirates instead of getting relegated.

I too have found that the transfers are rediculously priced.
I have had to fork out £90m for Silva and £40m for Daniel Alves in my 3rd season with Man Utd .
It is almost impossible to buy a player even though I currently hold all 7 trophies that I entered.
Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, Super Cup, World Club Championship and Chariety Shield - sorry, had to slip that in.

There is a thread on this somewhere.

Part of the problem isn't the valuations as a lot of them are realistic. Which is why IRL most of the top players don't move that much. Think of Real Madrid re Zidane and Figo.

The problem is that too many of the AI clubs actually pay the prices.

yes, BobbaW, the valuations are realistic, but in the case of Alves in my game, he has wanted to leave sevilla for three seasons now, and i will only buy him to stop united getting him tbh. i know the fee would be ludicrous, but i'd just bid whatever united bid. in reality, Alves would have moved last summer if Antonio Puerta didn't die ( )

I have the opposite problem, I literally cannot sell a player and when I do it's at a fraction of their current value...
