Since I got fm 08 I played in Italy, Spain and France.
I had nice seasons in these three countries. The only thing that bugged me is that I could never sell a player for an acceptable value, so when I didnt need a player anymore, I was letting him to rot in the reserves or terminate his contract. Of course this was not really pleasant as I couldnt get some transfert money.
Recently I started a game as man city, and to my surprise not only is it very easy to sell players but you can even sell them for 3,4 and some times 10x their value. mainn examples are Elano worth 7M euros, sold for 18M + 20% and Richards 45M euros + 30 % (I could continue the list)
Is it possible that a glitch in the game makes the selling of players easier in the Uk or am I just going insane

i did get an unsolicited offer for pepe reina from arsenal. he was worth about 7mkill and they offered 23mill pounds up front.
i dont tend to have that much problems selling players, riise went for jsut above his asking price but he wanted to leave, alonso went for 20mill and crouch went for 10mill

France: Monaco, Marseille
Italy: my dear Juve
Spain: Sevilla
UK: I currently play with Man City
I am sure that in clubs like juve you could also sell players for a lot of euros (buffon would be an example), but personally I have never suceeded at this

Playing with Man Utd for 7 seasons and being very successful, I never once managed to sell a player worth more than his value. Yet the players I bought were for 10 times their value (eg £59m for Criscito :eek

Here in Italy nobody can sell or buy players because IRL "your dear Juve" controls transfers (and not only, remember her "trip" to Div. 2 last season... )
Another reason to think FM is the best football simulation of the world....

i remberber the old cm/fm games when you bought someone, whatever the fee was, his value would change according to the league/club he signed for. it was annoying when you spend £15M+ on a player and he shows a value of around £9M, but i suppose its more realistic when it decreases according to form in this game.
but in theory, i believe that spain, for example, is an easier transfer market than the UK, simply because all the best players at your club will be shortlisted by liverpool, man utd, arsenal etc. just started a valencia game and i could get at least £70M if i accept liverpool bids for Silva, Joaquin and Villa. and i really like finding players with low release clause fees.
