Start of second season with West Ham and had read about how good this chap can be so tried to get him on loan. No go so I tried to buy him, eventually his Club accepted a bid of 8 Million.

I went to "offer contract" and as a youth player of hot prospect he wasn't interested. So I tried offering him a contract as a First Team Player or Key Player and he was after £50 grand a week.

A lot for a 17 year old I thought but well if he is that good let's go for it. So I offered him 50 grand a week.

Days later he accepts a new contract with his Club!!! Damn! Far from me to be put off I offer 8 million. Again the Club accepts, again I offer him the 50 grand a week he is asking for, and again days later he "commits his future to his Club by signing a new contract"!!

Is this for real?? What an irritating little fella!

the player has signed a pre contract with the selling club.
you can't get him because he's already given his alligience to that club.

maybe in sussex hammers case he has. you got him on a free transfer becaus eyou got him before he signed the pre contract?
sussex was trying to get him at the start of the second season after all.

eXistenZ, he probably singed it after the start of the game.

I think it tells you in his personal info screen if he has signed a pre-contract, so you should start by looking there.
