It wouldn't have been the first time that Miles posted without being aware of all the facts.

Remember the accusation that someone was using an illegal copy of the game.

In his defence, it's like some of the other bugs, Really really really annoying, but they are aware of it and hopefully the next patch will have it sorted. SI's attempt to release an emergency patch this year was a disaster and I'm glad that they have learnt from this mistake.

It's not a matter of releasing a short term fix in the next few days, it's about finding the problem, fixing the problem, and then making 100% sure that the fixing of the problem hasn't created others.

It looks like Miles made a mistake but to be honest, do we really expect him to be aware of the ins and outs of every bug that has been logged? This whole merry-go-round is becoming tiresome.

1. There is a bug in Spain.

2. SI know there is a bug in Spain.

3. SI have said that they are working a fix for the bug in Spain.

4. SI have said that the next patch will include the fix for the bug in Spain.

5. SI have told us when to expect the next patch.

I think that any further comment just clouds the issue.

I must say I'm surprised at this flippant comment from SI. It is very poor form, indeed. First Mr. Jacobsen proceeds to insult his loyal customers: Apparently we're not astute enough to follow simple instruction. Later in the original comment he concludes that a fix is set for release in conjunction with the data update. I'm confused. Why is a fix needed when, according to SI, nothing is wrong?

Poor show.

It's a great shame for me because it's the only area affecting my enjoyment of the game, so am looking forward to the fix when it's available.

I have to agree that the work-arounds suggested do work sometimes, but don't cure the problem completely.

As far as the game itself is concerned, dispite this flaw, I think it's the best version of FM yet. I'm not disputing the fact people have problems with other areas of the game, it's just they don't affect the overall gameplay for me.

IMO miles' last line of his "wonderful" post is the most awful:

"As the question is answered, this thread is now closed"

All well and good if he actually knew what he was talking about, but as this thread shows he doesn't and the question wasn't answered.

Please miles, could you please explain how players becoming un-registered outside of a window can be "easily avoided"? Or is the way to avoid it not to play in spain/germany?

Miles should probably have this on his desktop and consider it before making any other posts where he tells someone they are wrong.

As jimbo said, i don't expect him to know everything about every bug. However, i don't expect him to tell people they are wrong if he doesn't know everything.

That sounds like a different bug to the one that was being talked about in the other thread. Though I haven't read the other thread for a while so it may have been brought up.

I was under the impression they were both just considered "registration bugs" but the thread was closed so the opportunnity to question this has gone, without making another thread to clutter the board some more.

This issue is very annoying, from December registration until the end of January registration I lose 3 players all the time even though I register via the news item. These are always the same 3 players and they are replaced by 3 youth team players. I have not saved my game and tried to go back but it always happens even though I register them. So its SI issue not the user who is using the game correctly!!!

Ah well, now since SI has come up with FPS analogies, the car analogies should also be acceptable
