In Conference North/South there's no limit for loans, and it's too easy to get affiliation with Premier or Championship clubs. Unlike Fm2007, in Fm2008 all the players of the feeder club accept the loan so you can easily put on the field 8-9 players of these clubs, winning almost all the matches. It spoils the game, doesn't it?
I agree, in the English leagues it's far too easy to get players to join you on loan from your parent club in FM08. :thdn:
Having said that I'm currently managing in the Norwegian leagues and it's the complete opposite. The only players I could attract from my Parent club was useless under 19 players.

Isn't there a loan cap for Blue Square leagues? And not all of my parent club's players accepted the loan offers, and some of them turned out to be just middling. I've only pulled two truly nice players from my parent club; the rest were just stopgaps that I replaced with my own (better) signings.
I posted a thread "Greatest Affiliate Deals", talking about how I managed to get Man Utd as parent club to Hyde Utd in the BSN.
Had 14 players on loan from them at one point and romped everything, even got a replay against Tottenham in the 4th round of the FA Cup.
It does make things exceptionally easy and is rather unrealistic. I'm sure SI will tweek it a bit in either the next patch or for FM09 as the "LLaMas" blood will be boiling... too much temptation... deadly sin!!

No, there's no loan cap for North/South LEagues, there is one in Conference only.
I tried two times, playing Crawley (got all requested players from NORWICH), and playing Farsley (again, got all requested players from MIDDLESBROUGH(!!!)). If they're young, they accept. And sometimes even the older players do.
Maybe those players who didn't accept your offers were old (25 or more yo)?
I'm finding it impossible to get a parent club for Kettering. I am in BSP 2008.09 and every time I ask for a parent club the board tells me that there is no point!!! WTF!!!!

LLaMas ignore the affiliate-option, at least the national partnerships
