I’m currently about to overwrite Basingstoke (local) for my ‘more’ local junior side.

I will create a whole new team of players – each created as a brand new person on the game. I would put these players at Age 18ish and they will all be -10 PA, (So all pretty good with good starting stats.)
I did this in FM 2005 editor and it worked well but had a few problems. With contracts and wages, national team taking the players, etc.
So I have a few Q’s???

Do you recommend I create a new stadium or just improve and rename the current stadium associated with Basingstoke?

Can I/Shall I put them retired from International Football or will it effect there overall stats and rep, obviously I can’t afford to lose most of my team while Internationals are on if I’m playing Conference South?

What would you recommend in term of contract length for these ‘young superstars’ would it be feasible to put them on a 6/7 year contract?

Any other suggestions/recommendations with reference to CREATEING a whole new team within the game?

Having looked around the current editor I know it will take me a loooooonnnggg time to create this team any tips on making this process a bit more efficient?

as far as the questions go these IMO are my answers:
1. you can't create stadiums anyway so just improve the current and rename it.
2. there would be no point in clicking the retired from international box as they would just come out of retirement because of young age anyway. so i think you shouldn't click the declared for nation box.
3. contract wise i think you should put them on as long contract as possible normally till 2010 and make sure they haven't got a minimum release clause and are not on a youth contract as other clubs can just rob the players of you.

I would advise waiting until the patch comes, that way you can create the club and the stadium. :thup:
