you have to go to preferences and turn on the setup wizard, then start a new game a the setup wizard will appear and you can choose your db.
ps next time try to see on the forums if you question isn`t already asked, i have answered this already several times.

I'm also a Mac user with the same problem. I can't save as default database and even with Wizard switched on I don't encounter the option to use a different database.

Ok it's sorted out. Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere and I'm missed it. My editor was saving my edited database to a my documents folder, and not to the WWSM one but a Football Manager one (perhaps the legacy of the demo?). Anyway, I too the edited datebase out of there and put it in my applications/sports interactive/data/db foler alongside the default (700) one. When I did that it asked me starting a new game which database to use and I could select my edited version.
Maybe it's just a Mac problem? Anyway, hope it helps and apologies if this has been posted ad infinitum elsewhere.
