Im using the 8.0.1. patch and im trying to integrate a DDT file to retain players from many nations. Altho this file doesnt show up in the preferences before I start a new game.

However, it appears fine with out the patch (i.e. version 8.0.0)

Does anyone know how I can make the DDT file appear?

BTW it still shows the holland DDT file in both cases yet not the retain plyers DDT file when the 8.0.1. patch is being used

OK in data look for updates....there should be 801 but for some reason from what i can gather the ddt generator used in FM07 does not work in 08. This is due to the teams being changed etc etc but their is a beta software program out there somewhere that works with FM08.

CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\data\updates\update-801\db\801

put your ddt files there, then start the game, you should be able to see the ddt files appear on preference

alrite everyone, just found out a few days ago about the new patch. Im currently downloading it now but its going to take hours its 10% complete in about 30mins. Wheres a good place to download it from or does it just take this long, surely not?
