Preseason is over :thup: - Bring on the League.

Excellent preseason campaign - Beating Hailsham Town, PAOK Salonika, St. Pats Athletic, Gyor, Loughgall and Bognor Regis Town.

We've been playing some lovely football, incisive, attacking play on the counter and then when we lose it, it's everyone behind the ball, tucking in, winning it back, and going again.

We also beat Ipswich in the League Cup First Round.

I've been quite impressed so far - I've certainly had to tweak on occasions (usually by going 1 notch more defensive, narrow and direct).

It always seems as if we 'lose' on shots (sometimes heavily), but I suspect that is something which will always happen when you play very much on the counter. Been very impressed with the performance of the DM and CM though.

In short, it's not quite 'there', but I am very pleased so far. This is a team that finished 16th last season - and I've hardly strengthened at all during the summer.
