ok cheers anyway mate did you find that the forward arrows on the wingers work well? where do you think the tactic is weak i no you have only played a few games on it but if you could give your general 1st impression that would be great,if not tell me after you feel you have used it enough to be able to tell weaknesses p.s will upload tactic as soon as i find out how

i have found that a way to keep the defence more solid it to put the full backs on same instructions as the centre backs but put the CB closing down on 1 and the FB closing down on the first notch of often i think that having the whole defence on the same mentality makes them play more as a unit and there-fore more secure and anyway in this formation there should be enough fire power down the wings due to the wingers advanced posotion so there shouldnt need to be too much support from the FB's

Center backs have been horrible! maybe defence in general needs adjustment, and also more players should be able to shoot from distance. But, only my view, i like long shots, makes great entertainment |

fair enough about the long shots but on FM07 i think if long shots are on more than rarely players tend to have a go too much when there may be an obvious defence splitting pass on and i feels this hampers the build up play and my CB's ccould be playing better becuase of the fact that they are very very good quality players p.s also have your best header at the near post for corners and set corner aim to near post coloccini scored 12 goals like that last season |

just beat newcastle 1-0 at st.james' a great away perfomance from the boys newcastle had most possesion but due to my new back 4 instructions and a few other tweaks (will post in morning im too tired now) i kept them at bay and martin petrov scored a great goal and helped relieve pressure due to always making himself an outlet. I have also found another way of tightening up at the back; instead of playing with the 2 wingers am AML and AMR drop them back to ML and MR this is good when defending a lead and if they are pacy they can help create a lot of counter-attacks |

ok the problem could be due to a lack of pace or mis-communication try putting all your defenders on the same mentality it helps them play as more of a unit

I play a 4-2-3-1 system with the Sunday league team I manage, and it works as long as your DM's stay put and don't go ball chasing.
My only worry on FM is that you're not playing any CM's and the midfield looks bare - has anyone had any trouble in this regard? (I don't want my DM's to have forward arrows, as the whole point is to leave them protecting the square in front of the CB's)
