As Aston_Martin has said a forward can play as a Striker, but is also okay at being an AM or playing in a free role.
I'm sorry that I don't know many Moldovan players, so I'll have to try and use other players to illustrate.
Players like Michael Owen, Miroslav Klose, or Luca Toni would be considered strikers. They're all very different players, but they always stay up front. They'll be the sort of player who you make your crosses to, or who will run onto the ball if you play it over the top.
Players like Robbie Keane, Francesco Totti, or Robinho would be called forwards. These players might play up front, but they'll drop deeper to try and get the ball. They're the sort of players who will run at defenders, and are usually more skillful. They're also likely to try and create goals with clever passing.
