When i first started playing the football manager games, i used to stick with a simple 4-4-2 formation and, at the time and still, i find it fine. i mean i dont win every match but it seems pretty good. Recently, i've started playing FM online ad i've noticed that hardly anyone uses a simple 4-4-2 formation. I was wondering if most people use their own customised formations and its me who is one of few using a simple formation or do lots of people use a regular 4-4-2? what formations do you use?

I am no big fan of 442, but in FM2007 I get the best results with that formation.

Hmmm... havent heard about FM online... What have I missed? Any link for me please? It seems like a must to play....!!!

go on the forum index where you choose which category to look at (e.g. youare on tactical traing and tips now) and go on FM online. It's basically playing online gams with other people, its good check it out.

4-4-2 for me it's not the best formation.Everybody should try different formations 3-5-2,4-3-1-2,5-4-1 even 4-2-4.I use AS Roma's style 4-1-4-1 with no clear strikers.
