It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Help!!

Right, every since I brought FM 2007, I have been struggling to win matches. In FM 06, 05, I never had many problems, but I just cant find a tactic in FM 2007 that works.

I am Manchester United as well, lol. Anyone have a decent tactics that will work. Sick of losing to Watford at home, and then beating Newcastle away 5-0 etc etc

Right people are just gonna say you should read the bible (which perhaps you should) and downloading tactics are no good and you should create your own blah blah blah.
For a top tactic try the ones with the highest downloads? Or look at the Minimal FUSS, wwfan's RoO set etc.. They should be good.

I had reasonable success on my Liverpool game winning the Premiership etc by playing a 4 1 4 1 system both home and away, only changing my team instructions.

At home I played and attacking mentality, short passing, slow tempo, normal defensive line, hight width and closing down.

Away from home I changed my mentality to normal, first notch of direct passing and higher tempo, also normal width and first notch of deep defensive line.

I'd try somthing like that as you are also using a big club so teams would have a similar approach against you.

Being Man Utd just do the basics well

Sort out training and coaches, then set a tactic that looks solid then play to your strengths.

Dont over complicate it and learn how to use the sliders to your advantage such as when to play wide and when to play narrow etc...

But if you are choosing to download a tactic you really have to stick by it, also your one of the best teams so buy the best players not someone people were finding good at coventry or whatever.

Not saying they are bad players just saying its easier with the best
