It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Done 4 matches now on full speed where my Gk had 1 strenght - and there was no problems when he came out to grap those crossing in the air on corners or from wings. Even with the penalty aera full of players trying to jump and head to ball..he still get up there and catch it.

To respond to several posts about concentration, I am a goalkeeper and a goalkeeping coach at a basic level but yet it is drilled into my programme that concentration is 90% of being a gk. Therefore if FM is trying to create a realistic impression then concentration is key.

Afterall, reflexes aren't important if you're going to let your mind wander and let 1 slip through your grasp are you? And composure is key for those 1 on 1 situations where it is important to stay calm and remain confident not to make rash decisions that make it easier for the striker to score.

Yep thats in real life..the match engine is not like that, if you dont beleave me.. edit your GK like I did and see what happend
Composure means nothing for a GK in fm07, same with concentration...

Damn... I appreciate your testings Joor but I still hope that's not right because 'concentration' and 'composure' should be important attributes for any player in any position.
Not just for man marking or for strikers.

'Concentration' is in fact a vital attribute for a goalie in real life. I sure hope, SI have made the match engine that way as well!

p.s. Anybody train their GK's on 'set-pieces' even a little?

Is there any point? I ask because it is part of the general GK training schedule but I have taken it off in my own customized GK schedule.
