Not that odd really, I'm sure both systems work.
What settings did you give to your MCd to tie him in with your back four?

I'm not at home, but i know he has Mentality 8, CF 6,FWD Runs mixed & a barrow to DMC.(I guess he's almost playing as a DMC) On away games i use 2 MCd with barrows and same mentality + CF.
I don't remember the closing down settings for him/them |

| Depends how good he is in my opinion. If he was someone like Xabi Alonso for example, you might want to give him above average CF, so hits the odd long pass. However, on the main I wouldn't personally give a DMC much at all. He's a defensive midfielder, there to defend, nothing more.

| It can work, but if hes not upto it or doesn't have the right players coming onto the ball, then he will give possession away often.

Once again, it depends on what you think he's capable of. There are no universal settings.
Do you think he has the right attributes to hit good through balls? If so, then encourage him to do so.

| Thats good for conference, but it also relies on other stats. The best thing to do, is to try it but watch the game. Then you can tell if hes giving the ball away etc.

Hi everyone great thread i must say!
I have a question of my own and if anyone could give me a few answers id be so greatfull,id love for your opinion cleon as you seem to talk a lot of sence anyway to the point.
Im chelsea at the mo and im having trouble setting up my backline i like to go for a flat bk 4 with maka just in front holding it together, the only problem is because i have all my defence on low mentality my wingers dont get much support wat would you say is a good mentality for my wingers and how much should they close down as my bk 4 are very deep?
if someone could help me out it would make my day
many thanks
Liam
