Right, there has been a lot of talk on here regarding the 'AI'switching to a 4-2-4 for the last 15-20 minutes of a game and stageing remarkable comebacks.
I figure if the 'AI' can make it work for 15-20 minutes against what is probably the majority of people on here why can't the majority of people on here make it work for 90 minutes.
Now I know that chelski is not the most challenging of teams to build it with but I figure start with them or Man Utd and work down.
The plan is that once I can make it work with them move to a lower EPL team then a championship side then so on and so forth.
BTW I am currently what you might call rubbish at FM07 so imnot claiming that it will work but Im banking on starting this and getting input from elsewhere. (that will be you guys ouot there).
I have read through a few of the ttf threads on herebut someone wrote something about global mentality and that strikes me as a good starting point.
So all but my 2 x mcs are on the same mentality. I am going to start games either on attacking when the odds sa im going to win or defending when they are against me.
My team instructions are as above. I figure a teamlike Chelski play longtoDroga fast most of the time so I may as well do the same.
Ive set my closing down on my back 4 to first notch of rarely as I dont what them steaming into the midfield. The idea being they defend as a unit.
Ive set the left strikers instructions to team on all and mixed for everything.
The right striker has forward runs on often as are through balls. The rest is mixed.
One of the cms is on the first click of defensive and his passing hison the first of short.
The other cm is on the first click of attacking with all mixed except forward runs and try through balls on often.
Not much else to tell about the formation. Going to play a couple of games and see how I get on now I guess
The community shield required constant tweaks to getmebackin the game after being 1-0 down at half time.
I think maybe I won that inspite of the tactic rather than because of it.
However, I have found this to be a very flexible formation as it allows you to play both short and slow as well as quick and direct.
the stats for the Liverpool overall were pretty even so the second half performance was much better than the first.
I find that friendlies are so easy to win they never give a true reflection of what is to come so I will notbother with anymore detail other than to say Cudicini had a 'mare for the Yozgatspor game.
Same old story good in the friendlies and as soon as we play a league game against average opponants we batter them and loose 1-0...Still Sorensen made at least 5 world class saves. Cech touched the ball twice other than taking free and goal kicks.
Drogba, Shevchenko and Torres couldnt hit a banjo with a cows arse between them.
