Should I buy Kaka at 28-29 years of age? He's still valued at about 47.5 million so I'd have to spend quite a lot to get him. What do you think? Is he worth it? I'm managing R. Madrid btw.
Not at that age. If you want an AMC then go for Yoann Gourcuff. Theres not too much of a point in getting VDV either unless you get him less than 30M as he's only about a year younger than Kaka. Gourcuff and also Fabregas (who's not a AMC, but an MC) are much younger. 4-5 years I think. I'd personally really recommend Gourcuff. He's brilliant!
I assume that Kaka's stats will actually hold up well for a while so I would say yes.
A lot of people seem to think that players are past their sell-by date at 28. Ignore his age and just look at his stats. You can still get 5-6 years out of him.
The same problem applies to real life. Many rugby players (in a far more physically challenging sport) still play at international level till they are 35, why can't football players? Are they just not fit enough?
