He's one of the biggest bargain's so far in the game. He'll still bang in the goals I'm sure. And definitely top 4 material. Adriano is a better buy if you are lucky enough to get him for 10M off (I havent been able to, but many have).
But a famous downside of Owen is that he's injury prone. Not sure how prone to injury Adriano is, but nonetheless Adriano's class, can be gotten free on loan if you want to try him out.
i got Adriano for 10mil, and he is quality. Scored 2 in a friendly v Celtic the day after i bought him, and is my top scorer with 5 goals in 5 games. His long shot rating is proved to be correct, he got a shot from the right corner of the box into the top corner! He is worth the extra 1mil!
gse0x8, do you bid 8M + 30% sell-on straight away or do you haggle? And how is Adriano's worth in your game? In mine, he starts off at 12.75M. As soon as I bid for him, Liverpool do the same. And Inter keep stalling my offer till the get another one. Its annoying!!
Incredilehulk, Once you bid for Adriano, click remove him from shortlist, this is what i do the deter others from bidding on him, as i think the other teams bid on the players that you have in your shortlist.
This should stop Liverpool from bidding on him.
And anyway why do you want to buy him? You can get him on loan for the season. And since this is only a demo for 6 months, isn't it the same?
On 07 Owen was more than adept for me at Valencia. Top quality player and I don't think he is that injury prone, he's just had a very bad spell over the past 18 months, so I doubt he's been made too prone on the game.

Owen was really injury prone in 07, so probably will be again because he hasnt exactly been showing his supreme fitness
