Fernando Torres is the best forward on the game even whilst young. him and rooney would score for fun but could be over your budget(£40-£50 million). Luca Toni is the second best option who is almost as good as Torres. i had both upfront for my chelsea team and they managed to hit around 58 goals in a season.

id say at the start go for toni or huntelaar,

if you want a youngster to come through and score this many go for pato, bojan or vela

Podolski but is rubbish after first season so get him on loan for a season the he scores loads and becomes rubbish

eddie johnson every time. Buy him every new game for about 2.5m at 21 and always get ten good years out of him - consistently scores 30+ every season as a target man with ball to head instructions, and nearly always tops the assists table for the season. Has to be one of the best bargains in the game.

one drawback - he is never available if you reach the Champions League final - always playing competitive game for USA on same date - its cost me on a few occasions.
