I'm in season 2, and my 2 CBs are Milito and Albiol. I have Puyol and Samba as back-up.

Puyol is worth 14.25M atm, but the highest offer he gets is 9M.

I usually play him in small matches (I don't like that he's short and can't header the ball). Milito is performing better than him.


Should I sell him?

Well since he's 30 and you're only getting 9M, that value will only decrease if you dont sell now. Since you dont use him, then might as well let him go. You can look to pick up someone else instead.

yeh if you dont use him then there isnt reallt any point in you keeping him! just use the moeny you get when you sell him to buy a decent youngester who you can use for cover hope this helps JOE

My thoughts exactly, he'll turn 31 in April and his value will drop.

I should mention though; he's played 7 games this season, scored 3, AR 7.43

Quite wierd seing as he played 40 matches last season and didn't scored or assist at all, AR 7.25.

I should also mention that I have 87M transfer fees atm so 9M isn't needed too badly.

Meh, I really can't decide whether to keep him and play him against fast strikers, or sell him.

It would definitely make sense to because he won't that sort of value after another year or two. I, however, would keep him for sentimental reasons. He is a physical manifestation of Barcelona and selling him would be like selling a part of the team. You don't have to play him, but I would keep him. Besides, I'm sure he'll make a great coach!

I know what you mean. I really didn't want to sell Xavi either for the same reason, but I had too man midfielders, and the board accepted 19.5M for him anyway.

Buuuut... I'm paying him 73K p/w on wages, so 2 more years of him in the team and it'll end up costing me 7.5M on his wages.

I think I'll sell him in April, just before he hits 31.

Well, if he's backup and getting on a bit, I would sell him, 9 mil for a thirty year old is pretty decent like IMO, I would sell.

No, don't sell him!!! Play him, use rotation, move Albiol to DM, or Puyol to DR

And what is it with everyone thinking someone is poor defender if his jumping is not high attribute?

I have no problem with neither Milito nor Puyol in my 3rd season. And you should know from the Barca tread what kind of defenders I have. Around 85% of my games I use Sagna, Puyol, Milito and Abidal without any problems. Cassani, Breno and Criscito get a few games here and there.

It's up to you really - do what you wanna do...
