My best value buy for the Championship was Leopoldo Jimenez for £30k. He's Venezuelan but got a WP without difficulty. Solid at DR, DC or MC and gets an occasional goal too. He might even be free at the start, looking at his history.

Other good players whose names I don't often see bandied around:

Johan Cavalli - AMLC - free
Valentin Iliev - DC - £575k
Vaclav Sverkos - ST - £250k
