I might look at Iliev now, just to see how good he is on the game. I'll look up Edson as well - I loaded all Romanian players as they have some real quality youngster there. :thup:

I've spent almost all my budget on youth players so far, but I've signed a couple of first teamers as well.

Just finished my pre-season friendlies against Lowestoft (won 4-0), Kings Lynn (won 3-1), Portadown (won 2-0), Dereham (won 4-0) and Inter Milan (won 1-0), and had my first two leage games postponed due to Internationals.

Jack Hobbs, Mata (from Valencia I think), and Danny Simpson are all on loan to me. I tried to get Bendtner and Ben-Haim, but they went elsewhere.

I had Jack Hobbs, but he was awful, and The Barclay was moaning about him being an awful signing..

Just bought Eddie Johnson for about 1.5 million absolutely brilliant. I never thought it would happen but my scout report was very positive

Fwiw these are my Wolves transfers in the same situation.

Obviously I had slightly different needs to you: GK, DM, DR were the main priorities. I haven't done brilliantly in solving any of them, but I've got some good players going forwards. Cassano on loan should be good, and my coaches tell me that Christian Benitez would be a leading star for any Prem team.

I've made ALOT of transfers, but only a few first-teamers. I'll probably be relegated, but hopefully my board (who expect me to stay up) will recognise how well I've done and keep me! :p

My "big-money" signings were:

- Barkroth - £1million
- Myrie-Williams - £575k
- Cowie - £575k
- James Keene - £900k
- And 3/4 players from Beograd - all of whom have been loaned out to get work permits, but all are bargains, with the most expensive costing £1.9million.

Apart from that, I've just been trying to pick up talented youngsters for as little as possilbe.

Lost 4-1 to Everton in my only league game so far! Jack Hobbs was useless.

I keep asking for more cash, but get rejected every time. I need £2-3million more to bring in a top quality striker though.

Are there any decent strikers from the Championship that I could sign using a cash (at most £500k) + player (Jamie Cureton, who scored 8 goals in 44 games for me last year) deal?

I too am in the same position as you. I am expecting to get relegated with baley double figure points. I also need a striker, have $m to spend but only want to spen £2m really. Here are my transfers so far;

I tried to swap Cureton for Robbie Fowler, but Cardiff rejected it.

I'm so desperate I'm considering trying to sign Rory Fallon in exchange for Cureton!

I've transfer listed Jason Shackell, so there must be a decent striker I can get in exchange for him, Cureton and some cash surely!?!
