Have been keeping half an eye on Lewes' progress this season, after my spell managing them on FM.

They've done very well in their first season at their current level (Conference South), so well that the finished in the playoff positions.

However, they have been denied entry to the playoffs, presumably because their ground is too small, though I'm not certain about that.

Cambridge City have now been given a bye to the Southern final. (North plays South for the third promotion spot to the Conference).

The Dripping Pan is not up to standard apparently. There is a lot of bad feeling between the club and the league authorities as the same trick was tried last year in an attempt to keep Lewes out of Conference South. Don't know what they've done to upset anyone but it appears that the league has finally managed to screw them over.

Been a problem for a few years at Lewes, the ground needs a definite bit of money spending on it, they just about got away with it last last season to get into the conference south, it's a pity really as the squad they have is very capable.
