I'm probably being very ignorant, as I don't have a clue where Lewes is apart from being 'darn sarf' but couldn't they ground share with someone? Or is that not allowed?

Margate were relegated from the conference national the season before the last one because of ground-sharing, and may of likly faced relegation from the conference south this year due to it, but were relegated anyway. I think in the top 2 nonleague levels ground sharin is only aloud for a fix term, and if it seems like no progress to a return to you own groun isnt happening d3emotion will occur, in the levels below it is allowable

Lewes is 15 miles North East of Brighton. They obviously can't share with us as we don't have a ground, Crawleys not far but they made all sorts of promises to local residents in order to get the ground built. Nearest club at their level is probably Eastbourne Borough but that isn't exactly much of an improvement.

Plus Lewes is not a huge club or town so if they move they run the risk of losing the small support they have, it would probably be financial death.

Its 7 years as Im big follower of the mighty Billericay Town and we have had Chelmsford City ground sharing with us now for 7 years and this the requirment for confernce level as both sides were at step 2 of NL 03/04

Also the mighty BTFC are in the words of the daily mail better than united as we drew 2-2 with Exeter the week after their FAC game we were 2-0 up with 5 to go
