2005/06: I managed to climb to 3rd in the league after a great winning streak but then my fortunes turned.
In the final 8 games of the season, I lost 2 and drew 6! This left me with a final league position of 5th, with the same points total of the season before.
The board announced that because of the club's financial position, I would only have £14k to spend.
After hearing this news I applied for the job of Paredes from the same division. They offered me the job with a transfer budget of £55k, which was tempting but the wage budget offered was a lot less than my budget with Naval so I decided to stay put.
I am still applying to nearly all jobs available but I have made a few decent free transfers and my squad seems slightly better than last season..
so fingers crossed for 3rd time lucky and promotion in 2006/07.
