Are wages and club finance still a problem as game progress. My reason for asking is this has been brought up as a BUG in game, aparently fixed for FM2006 but not in FM2005. Can and or does this make LLM career now a waste of time as $$$$ this can stuff up clubs (leading to Bankruptcy) or so I am told?
I've hit the wage bug once. I was trying to take my team all the way and didn't want to jump ship, so it pretty much killed my game.
Haven't seen it since. It doesn't rule out an LLM career if you accept that very occasionally you may be forced to change clubs.
Of course you could just see it as an extra challenge when your already cash-strapped LL team loses 50% of its wage budget overnight. It could happen IRL.
I've also hit the wage bug once before, and to elaborate, the game was reporting my wage bill as higher than it actually was. e.g. All my players wages combined totaled 10k per week, but the game was saying 17k per week.
Although, I wouldn't not start a game because of this. I've only had it once.
You're right - we're probably talking about different issues. I've seen some posts about budgets/income not increasing realistically in line with club success. I can't comment since I've never achieved any success whatsoever.
There is a known bug where the amount of money deducted under the heading "wages" suddenly jumps drastically overnight. In my save this meant that even if I sold all my players and dismissed all staff, a sum of money exceeding my budget was still leaving my account every week. Made it difficult to avoid getting sacked for financial incompetence.
Some might say that it's scarily close to real life in the nokem household. Either way, apparently it's fixed in the next release.
This is all disappearing way off topic. But the bugs forum is a depressing place full of people complaining that the game wont let them win the CL even thought they've edited all their players into titanium-skinned superheroes.
