new poster obviously, i've run through about 5 or 6 2nd division campaigns and since i always manage to get relegated and sacked anyhow, figured i may as well try the LLaMa scene out...
so here's my question: i was inspired by another poster to try the scandinavian leagues, and i would like some clarification on the player search feature. scouts will only see players that are on teams, correct? so what about all those players that are unsigned by anyone? is it legal under LLM doctrine to run a player search filtered for "no contract" players? oh, and when looking for staff, do you scout those as well or are you allowed to use the staff search? i figured a staffer would be more likely to post a resume than a player...
thanks in advance, and i read the rules thread twice and didn't see these Q's specifically addressed, BUT, if they were, i apologize in advance...
Staff search... I believe is O.k. Scouts will see anyone...even if they are not on a team. Player search... well, there are 2 different schools of thought on that one. I don't use it, but there are other LLaMa's that do. I guess it's use your own judgement
You can definitely do a scout search, since the job centre isn't quite up to standard because of the applicants coming from the far reaches of the universe.
1. Scouts will "see" any players. They are scouting for players, not reading their contracts.
2. Same as signed players. They will be found, in time
3. Is it possible to filter "no contract" IRL? Answer this - and you'll answer the original question.
4. I myself use the job centre. Though it's f***** up, it's still more realistic than staff search. At least you can't fill your backroom with hi-fi staff this way while in the lowest leagues.
I use job search for new scouts and replacement Staff, but I use Staff search in the beginning. II'll admit I'm too impatient in the offseason to run my guys like dogs to wait for the good staff to rear their heads.
I never user player or staff search. Too unreallistic. Job cetnter and scout searches are the only way. Even if I want to loan a player, I always offer to loan someone that scout(s) recommended.
