I don't care. Job Centre is a way to go non the-less. I don't think that IRL you would be able to sign or search for interested staff without paying some money for it. THat is why staff search is a big no no for me.
As for players... use your scouts and pleas oblige to SYB or SWYCT guidelines.

thanks iajafer, I located it, funny if I had bothered to read the manual I would have known about it sooner
Funny thing I placed an advert for new staff and after a few weeks got this message "Unfortunately, no-one responded to your advert for a new physio". Same happened again for coach so I am not holding my breath for the scout and assistant manager advert  so I ran them again, but anyway just wanted to say thanks for all your advice and help, seems the job centre is an excellent asoect of an already excellent football management sim. :thup:

That's because the Job Centre's crap.
LLM's about realism. LLaMas that insist on using it have crossed the line to delusion, I'm afraid.
Maybe in FM2006....

So what kind of realism it is to go out and just fetch some staff?
Job centre throws a shyteload of exotic coaches, but also throws in some domestically based. You can always choose not to pick unrealistic targets.

Point is, Kov, not about the going out, but about the guys you actually employ.
As for realism within the Job Centre, if you're managing Hornchurch and have an average wage of around £300, why on earth would a Russian ex-International come in and demand £5000 a week?
Carry on, though. You're happy with the Job Centre, I'm happy to look for Poofland Nationals with crap reputations on the Staff Screen.
Maybe with FM2006....

But then the reputations of staff are totally unbalanced. This might be another story but I guess is loosely linked to the job centre because all AI teams seem to advertise there. Which results in Viv Anderson coaching in the conference regionals. excetera.
