I with Kov on this, I don't use the transfer list for anything. It's scouts and job centre all the way for me. I also play with attributes masked so you have no idea whether someone is good or bad without being scouted anyway, therefore renderring the transfer list redundant!

I started out using the transfer lists way back when but in hindsight it really is very unrealistic. As far as I am aware there is no official list of staff IRL (somebody is bound to prove me wrong) and it's much more fun waiting for your scout to find the next best thing instead of trawling through pages of unknown players looking at all the stats.

Job Centre is a great idea, very poorly designed. It doesn't work as all you get applying for you adverts are either Eastern European and African.

For that reason I won't use it. It's nowhere near realistic enough. Maybe they'll get it right in FM2006 (assuming the programmer passes his university course )

I just finished my 2nd season and one physio and one scout retired on me... using the Job centre to try and find replacements... but only have a month before All hell breaks loose in a footy preseason frenzy.

Using staff search in Romania all I got were African applicants. Completely ridiculous, haven't used it since.

Don't touch player seacrh ever though as scouts do a good enough job.

It works fine for me. Just exclude the ones you think are unrealistic.

Agree with kov and so.

Job centre at least keeps the amount of staff in bounds. During my 1.5 seasons i've only signed a coach and an assman. Less likely to have tons of scouts this way.

I use the job centre as well, and didn't have too many problems with that.

One of the drop-down menus has a "Jobs" button. Click on it, "Job centre" option should be at the far right (or left, depending which skin you're using).

If you can't find it (very likely, under my guidance) head for GQ.

Was also wondering about this the other day.But sicne i'm using 03/04, i kinda have to use the staff search thing since the job centre was only brought in in fm2005.I'm sticking to the rule though that you can only sign ones in scotland or in the UK, i can only get the ones on free anyway. I'm Montrose by the way which is why i said scotland first.
