Default International Management for LLaMas

Having actually been offered an international post or two now, I took a look at one and realized I have absolutely no idea how it works.

Am I forced to use player search, for instance? Any attempt to hire staff was applied to my club side, rather than the international one, so my brief look at the international scene had no additional staff.

I resigned, realizing (a) that I was clueless and should see what LLaMa wisdom is out there before I try it and (b) I felt no affinity for the job I'd taken anyway.

Any thoughts on whether it's possible to LLaMa Internationally in FM05?

No tipping.

International management had always been tricky. It was not sorted out in CM00/01 nor in 01/02, With CM 4 only became worse and in FM 05 every one is avoiding it because of CM 4.

At least theoretically, you should have some necessary knowledge of the top 50 players of that nationality. I think many use their own club scouts to search and scout the top clubs in their nation for players, and the media and under 21 squad should alert your attention to any upcomming talent.

On any occasion I've taken the plunge I've applied the "Scotland Manager" method to it.

Pick the guys that cost most and play for the Auld Firm.

...not easy when you're managing Bhutan

Im running an italian and english leagues and San Marino is one of my clubs im managing. Intersestingly im the only proffesional club with san marino players only 4 get picked the other 2 are semi pro and the rest are gey in the squad. I was also looking to mange them in the future but they dont appear on the new user list of clubs to mange does this mean I can mange the international team??

Not that I've gone into managing national sides, but in my basque save (9 seasons in by now) there's quite some gems that are ignored by the Spanish national manager (mailny basque regens picked by poofland and italy teams ().

They play abroad though, thus making their non-election to the national side more realistic.

And Sorbicol, I don't quite believe what you're saying. In my save there are 9 basque regens whose value is over 7 m GBP. I don't know about spanish ones, but I'd bet there should be some 50+. Are you playing with huge database?

When I say that there are 9 basque regens whose value is over 7m I mean players that my scouts have scouted, of xure... although I'm quite positive about having 95% of all existing basque players in my shortlist (462 at the time of the last tally count).

When I started in international management I made a choice to use the search screen to find players eligible to play for which ever country I'm managing I then add likely susspects to the national pool.

I do this at the start of every season and add any new national team prospects. I make sure I do not use information to gain an advantage for my league club.

Any national squad member would have to be found by my scouts on their ramblings across the globe.

How many clubs are you managing? At the same time, too?
