I started managing Vauxhall Motors and well basically it will be a good challenge. My main concern is that I am looking for staff, and am aware of the LLM rules on this but need to clarify this one area. "Can I use the staff search button"? as I realise in real life one cannot just list all the avaiable staff in the world but I can't think of any other way of finding much need staff. How do you guys and gals here at LLM find Staff, let me know and I will follow your advice.
Also regarding searching for new players, again simialr question, as LLM do not use the find button or search/list if I have no scout (or not many) how can I find new players, you will note both the 1st question and 2nd question are linked as with no scouts and not being able to use search, one cannot find any new players. Again advise me on what you all do and I will follow as I intened to follow your guidelines and enjoy managing Vauxhall Motors.
I will not be using super tactics or well known players, and have not updated my game I actually removed the Legends Update, having said that, are we alloewd to update at all (ie to keep up with latest changes in the soccer world)?

There's the Job Centre which in an ideal world would be the choice of LLaMas...problem is it's crap in FM2005.
If you want Nigerian and Moldovan coaches it's ideal, but totally unrealistic in LLM.
Because of that I personally use the Staff Screen to employ them.
Hopefully in FM2006.....
Scouts? As above. Job Centre crap...I use the Staff Screen.
As well as the documented reasons for not using 3rd Party updates...
What's the point? You update your game with "Wonderboy's FM update! Every player. manager, coach and ballboy up to date..." and the first thing you do is try to buy or sign new players, and the game's doing it straight away as well.
Updates are pointless as well as dangerous to the game.
iajafer, again thank you for your helpful advice, as I posted in another post seems the job centre is a good aspect of the game, mind you if you say it is crap and doesn't work properly I will use staff search but mabye limited it to the UK, what do you think of that suggestion? :thup:
As for updates I removed the Legends update and copied my db folder back into the game dir, so it is back to original, again thanks.
I usually go for a Scottish AssMan and Staff from the Nation I'm managing in (usually Pooland or Jockland), others go at least for guys who speak the language of the Nation they're managing in.

Same here, plus only from same nation I'm managing in. Took me a year-and-a-half to get a crap second physio for East Striling mind
don't know how people get obscure responses from the job adverts, with Scottish and English leagues, and retain scotland and england, i've never seen anyone apply that's been completely out of place

Only took me a couple of months to get a second when I was there!
When it comes to staff, I usually just search. Just as monster.com (or others like it) would let me irl. if they had football club staff on their options....
